World Capitals Quiz

The world capitals quiz is an interactive multiple-choice quiz that tests your knowledge of the capital cities of 196 entries covering 195 sovereign states plus Taiwan. Each quiz presents 10 randomly selected questions with 4 answer options — one correct capital and three plausible distractors drawn from the same region. The quiz supports two modes: Country → Capital (given a country name, identify its capital) and Capital → Country (given a capital city, identify which country it belongs to). You can filter questions by region — Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, or Oceania — to focus on specific areas of the world. After each quiz, a review panel shows which questions you got wrong and the correct answers, so you can learn from your mistakes.

1. Choose Your Settings: Select a region (All, Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, or Oceania) and a quiz mode (Country → Capital or Capital → Country). The quiz shows how many countries are available in your selected region before you start.
2. Answer 10 Questions: Each question shows a country or capital name with 4 multiple-choice options. Click your answer — correct answers immediately turn green, wrong answers turn red and reveal the correct answer. The quiz automatically advances to the next question after a short pause.
3. Review Your Results:After 10 questions, your final score is shown with a performance rating. The review panel lists every question with your answer and the correct answer for any you got wrong. Click "Play Again" for a new randomised set of questions, or "Change Settings" to adjust the region or mode.
