Certains ports attribués historiquement comme Echo (7) ou Discard (9) sont rarement utilisés, tandis que des ports comme 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS) et 22 (SSH) restent essentiels.
Certains services utilisent les deux protocoles à des fins différentes. Par exemple, le DNS utilise UDP pour les recherches standard et TCP pour les transferts de zone.
Recherchez le service que vous devez autoriser. Par exemple, ouvrez les ports 80 et 443 pour le trafic web, le port 25 pour l'envoi d'e-mails ou le port 22 pour l'accès distant SSH.
