Click the "Add Plant" button above the plant list. A new plant card appears with editable fields for name, type, watering frequency, fertilizing schedule, sunlight needs, and notes. Expand the card to see all settings. Your plants are automatically saved to your browser.
The dashboard compares days since last watering to the configured watering interval. If the days since last watering equals or exceeds the interval, the plant shows as overdue (red). When it's within 1 day of the interval, it shows as due soon (amber). Plants well within their interval show as healthy (green).
Expand the plant card and click the "Mark Watered" button. This sets the "Last Watered" date to today and resets the progress bar. You can also manually set any date using the date picker in the expanded card.
Six options: Daily, Every 2 days, Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly, and Rarely. Each option has a corresponding day interval that determines when the overdue alert triggers. Select the frequency that matches each plant's needs.
Yes. Each plant has a fertilizing frequency setting: Never, Monthly, Quarterly, or Twice a year. A separate progress bar shows days since last fertilizing. The fertilizing schedule does not trigger overdue alerts - it's a supplementary tracker.
Yes, all plant data is automatically saved to your browser's localStorage. Your plants persist when you close and reopen the page. Clearing your browser data will remove saved plants - use CSV export to backup before clearing.
Yes. Click "Export CSV" to download all your plant data as a CSV file. The export includes name, type, watering frequency, fertilizing schedule, sunlight needs, last watered/fertilized dates, and notes. Open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
Yes, completely free with no signup required. No limits on the number of plants you can track. All data stays in your browser - nothing is uploaded to any server.
Yes. Expand any plant card and click the "Remove" button at the bottom. The plant is permanently deleted from your collection. There is no undo, so export your data first if you want to keep a record.
