Understanding the Habit Scorecard
What is a Habit Scorecard?
A habit scorecard is a daily self-assessment tool that helps you track and measure your wellness habits across multiple dimensions. Our habit scorecard tracker covers 5 key areas - sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental health, and productivity - each rated on a simple 1-10 scale. The tool calculates a composite score and shows weekly trends so you can identify patterns, celebrate improvements, and spot areas that need more attention. All data stays in your browser with no server uploads.
How Our Habit Scorecard Works
- Rate Each Category: For each of the 5 categories, select a score from 1 (needs significant improvement) to 10 (excellent). The default starts at 5 so you can quickly adjust up or down based on your day.
- Add Optional Notes: Include a brief note about your day - what went well, what didn't, or any observations. Notes help provide context when reviewing scores later.
- Save & Track: Tap "Save Today" to record your entry. The tool automatically calculates your composite score, updates your streak, and adds today to the history view and weekly trend chart.
- Review Insights: Use the weekly averages and trend comparison to see which categories are improving or declining. The strongest and weakest categories are highlighted with color-coded insight cards.
What the Habit Scorecard Shows
- Today's Scorecard: Rate each of the 5 categories with color-coded 1-10 buttons. The composite score updates in real-time as you adjust ratings.
- Stats Overview: Four stat cards show your total tracked days, current streak (consecutive days with an average score of 5+), all-time average composite score, and this week's average.
- Weekly Trend Chart: A vertical bar chart of the current week with filter chips to toggle between the composite view and individual category views. Each day shows its composite or category score as a colored bar.
- Weekly Averages & Trends: For each category, see this week's average compared to last week with a trend icon (up, down, or unchanged). A progress bar visualizes each category's performance with the previous week shown as a ghost bar.
- History View: The last 30 days shown as a scrollable list with individual category scores and composite trend arrows indicating direction of change.

Frequently Asked Questions About Habit Scorecard
A habit scorecard is a daily self-assessment tool that lets you rate your habits across 5 categories (sleep, nutrition, exercise, mental health, and productivity) on a 1-10 scale. It calculates a composite score, tracks streaks, and shows weekly trends so you can identify patterns and areas for improvement.
Sleep covers quality and duration of rest. Nutrition includes diet quality and hydration. Exercise tracks physical activity and movement. Mental Health covers stress, mood, and mindfulness. Productivity measures focus, output, and time management. Each is rated independently on a 1-10 scale.
The composite score is the simple average of all 5 category ratings. For example, if you rate Sleep 7, Nutrition 6, Exercise 5, Mental Health 8, and Productivity 7, your composite is (7+6+5+8+7) ÷ 5 = 6.6. The score updates in real-time as you adjust any category.
The streak counts consecutive days where your average score across all categories is 5 or higher. If you miss a day or your average drops below 5, the streak resets. This encourages consistent daily tracking and meeting a baseline level of wellness.
Yes. The Weekly Averages section compares each category's average score for the current week against the previous week. Trend icons (up/down/equal) show direction of change, and progress bars visualise the comparison. Strongest and weakest categories are highlighted.
The bar chart displays scores for each day of the current week. By default it shows the composite score. Click any category chip (Sleep, Nutrition, etc.) to filter the chart to that category's daily scores. Days with no entry appear as zero-height bars.
Yes. Your entries are automatically saved to your browser's localStorage. When you return, your history, today's scores, and notes are restored. You can clear all data at any time using the "Clear All" button.
