How do I log food?
Tap "Add Food" to open the food browser. Search or browse by category, select a food item, adjust the serving size (in 0.25 increments), and it will be added to your selected meal. Each entry includes calories, protein, carbs, and fat.
Can I customise my daily goals?
Yes! Tap the "Goals" button to open the daily goals panel. You can set separate targets for calories, protein, carbs, and fat. Goals are saved to your browser and persist between visits. Use "Reset to defaults" to restore the standard values (2000 cal, 150g protein, 250g carbs, 65g fat).
What foods are in the database?
The built-in database includes 50+ common foods across 8 categories: Protein (chicken, beef, salmon, eggs, tofu, whey), Carbs (rice, pasta, bread, oats, potatoes), Vegetables, Fruits, Dairy, Fats & Oils, Snacks, and Drinks. Each entry has verified nutrition data per standard serving.
Can I look at previous days?
Yes. Use the "← Prev Day" and "Next Day →" buttons to navigate between days. You can review entries, see totals, and check macro distribution for any past date. The current date is marked with a "Today" badge.
What does the macro distribution chart show?
The donut chart shows the percentage breakdown of your total daily calories from protein, carbs, and fat (using 4 cal/g for protein and carbs, 9 cal/g for fat). This helps you visualise whether your macro split matches your goals.
How is the weekly average calculated?
The 7-day average shows your mean daily intake of calories, protein, carbs, and fat over the past 7 days including today. This gives you a broader view of your eating patterns beyond a single day.
Can I delete a food entry?
Yes. Each food entry in your daily log has a trash icon on the right. Tap it to remove that entry from the day's log. The totals and progress bars update automatically.
Is my data private?
Yes. All food logs and goal settings are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server or third party. Clear your browser data to remove all tracked information.
