How many riddles are included?
The Riddle Generator includes over 200 hand-curated riddles across four categories: Logic, Wordplay, Math, and Lateral Thinking. Each riddle has a clear answer and optional hint.
How do I filter riddles?
Use the difficulty buttons (Easy, Medium, Hard) and category buttons (Logic, Wordplay, Math, Lateral Thinking) to narrow down the riddle list. You can combine filters - for example, showing only Easy Wordplay riddles. Click a filter again to deselect it.
How do hints and answers work?
Each riddle shows the question first. Click "Show Hint" for a clue that points you in the right direction without giving away the answer. When you're ready, click "Show Answer" to reveal the full solution. The hint is optional - you can go straight to the answer.
Can I get a random riddle?
Yes. Click the shuffle button (or the "Random Riddle" button on desktop) to get a random riddle from your current filtered selection. If no filters are active, it picks from the entire library of 200+ riddles.
Are the riddles appropriate for children?
Most riddles are family-friendly, but we recommend previewing riddles before sharing with children. The Easy difficulty filter is a good starting point for younger audiences, as those riddles tend to be simpler and more accessible.
Can I use these riddles in my classroom?
Absolutely. Teachers are welcome to use riddles in classrooms, icebreakers, and educational activities. The filter system makes it easy to find riddles suitable for different grade levels and subjects (especially logic and math categories).
Do I need an internet connection?
After the initial page load, the Riddle Generator works completely offline. The entire riddle library (200+ riddles), filters, hints, and answers are all built into the page and stored client-side.
Is my riddle history saved?
The tool saves your last viewed riddles to localStorage so you can revisit them later. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings. No data is ever sent to a server.
Can I add my own riddles?
The current version includes the built-in library of 200+ riddles. Custom riddle creation is not yet supported, but the library covers a wide range of difficulties and categories to keep you entertained.
