Rounded Corners Image Tool

The Rounded Corners Image Tool uses the HTML5 Canvas API to apply vector clip-paths to your images. When you set a corner radius, the tool draws a rounded rectangle path that clips the image, creating smooth, anti-aliased rounded corners. The result is rendered to a new canvas and exported as a PNG (with transparent corners) or JPEG (with a solid background). All processing happens locally in your browser - no server uploads required.

Uniform mode applies the same radius value to all four corners simultaneously, perfect for standard rounded rectangles. Per-corner mode lets you independently control top-left, top-right, bottom-right, and bottom-left radii, enabling creative shapes like only rounding the top corners for a chat bubble look or only bottom corners for a card footer effect. The maximum radius is automatically limited to half the image width or height to prevent overlapping corners.

Choose PNG output when you need transparency around the rounded corners - ideal for logos, icons, overlays, and images placed on coloured backgrounds. Choose JPEG output when file size matters more and you don't need transparency; JPEG produces smaller files but fills the corner area with a solid background colour (transparent or a custom colour you select).

This tool processes images entirely within your browser using the Canvas API. No image data is ever uploaded to any server, making it safe for sensitive or confidential images. Performance scales with image dimensions - larger images may take a moment to process. For best results, use images under 4000×4000 pixels. The tool supports all common image formats including PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and TIFF.
