1. Upload Your Images: Drop or browse to select up to 12 images (PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF, max 10MB each). The photo collage maker loads each image and shows a thumbnail preview. Images are processed entirely in your browser using the File API - nothing is uploaded to any server. You can add images one at a time or select multiple files at once.
2. Choose Your Layout: Select from 5 layout modes - Grid (uniform rows and columns), Rows (fill rows first), Columns (fill columns first), Alternating (2-column layout for a staggered look), or Masonry (pack images into the shortest column for a Pinterest-style layout). Set the number of columns (1-6) and rows (0 for auto-fill or 1-6 for a fixed count). Use the grid presets (1×1, 2×2, 3×3, 2×3, 3×2, 4×4) for quick setup.
3. Customise Appearance: Adjust the gap between cells (0-40px), outer padding (0-60px), and aspect ratio (Square 1:1, Standard 4:3, Widescreen 16:9, Photo 3:2, or Free with custom dimensions). Change cell shape to Square, Rounded (adjustable radius), or Circle. Set the canvas background colour, cell background colour, and optional borders with custom width and colour. Download as PNG (lossless) or JPEG (adjustable quality) with one click.

• Grid: The standard uniform grid layout. Images are arranged in a fixed number of columns and rows with equal cell sizes. Perfect for symmetrical photo arrangements and social media grids. Use the grid presets for instant setup - 2×2 for 4 photos, 3×3 for 9 photos, and so on.
• Rows: Images are arranged row by row, filling each row completely before moving to the next. Rows mode is ideal for horizontal layouts where you want full-width image strips, such as landscape photo sequences.
• Columns: Images are arranged column by column, filling each column completely before moving to the next. Columns mode works well for vertical layouts and mobile-first collage designs.
• Alternating: A 2-column staggered layout where each image alternates between columns. The alternating layout creates a visual rhythm that is more dynamic than a strict grid, making it great for storytelling collages.
• Masonry: Images are packed into the shortest available column at any time, similar to Pinterest. The masonry layout minimises empty space when images have different aspect ratios, creating a dense, organic-looking collage.
